Illinois has loads of safe communities and, for teenagers, it feels like nothing “cool” ever happens here. Despite that safe feeling, there are some legitimately dangerous (even deadly) places in Illinois. Here are the top 10.
- Chicago
Roman Boed/Flickr Being the largest city, Chicago is naturally going to have the most danger. Shootings are 50% higher than last year in Chicago. Fortunately, you’re much more likely to be shot if you have a criminal background. Lesson: stay away from crime.
- La Grange Road Ramp, I-80

- Rockford

- Central Illinois

- East St. Louis

- Danville

- Springfield
