Asilomar Beach Boardwalk In Northern California Leads To Scenic Views

Asilomar State Beach is a narrow one-mile strip of natural heaven located in Pacific Grove, California. Featuring a sandy beach and rocky coves, the beach also offers stunning views of the ocean landscape. The rocky coves along the beach are home to thousands of species native to this bay, some of which are completely unique to this region.

The beach is part of the Asilomar Marine Reserve, a Marine Protected Area, which means that all natural marine features from fish to shells and rocks are protected by the state.

An accessible boardwalk allows viewers to stroll along the park with ease. A sand-friendly wheelchair and walker are also available for guest use.

As you explore the area you’ll come across the Asilomar Dunes Natural Preserve. On the 25 acres of preserved dune land, you’ll find a greenhouse that’s home to 450,000 plants planted in an effort to preserve and sustain the coastal area.
