What do you look forward to when spring arrives? Is it the warmer weather, longer daylight hours, or perhaps the flowers blooming in all their colorful glory? If you love seeing an explosion of colorful flowers, consider attending the Festival of Flowers in Massachusetts. Held at the Springfield Museums, this flower festival is a welcome sign of spring.

The Springfield Museums is a collection of five museums in downtown Springfield. The museums include art, science, and history as well as the Dr. Seuss Museum and the Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden.

Held in both the galleries and outdoors on the Quadrangle Green, flowers arrangements will be on display.

The arrangements will be displayed as though they are works of art. After all, they really are!

Carefully designed and arranged by artists who submit their designs and an artist’s statement ahead of time, you’ll enjoy seeing the uniqueness of each one.

The arrangements you’ll see are an artist’s interpretation of a piece of art that exists in the museum’s collections. Seen here is a botanical interpretation of the deer’s habitat in the painting. This festival certainly gives guests another visual interpretation of art around the museum.
