Georgia has a rapidly growing wine industry that is growing in size and notoriety. There are quite a few scenic vineyards all throughout the state, particularly in the northeast region. One of our favorites is Chateau Elan Winery in Braselton. Not only is this one of the best-known wineries in the state, but it’s also one of the best luxury resorts in Georgia. This place is gorgeous, and whether you’re stopping by just for a brief tour or decide to stay a few days, you’re in for a real treat.
Braselton is a midsize town about 50 miles outside of Atlanta. The area is mostly known for its many distribution centers, but its gently rolling hills make the perfect setting for a winery.

Chateau Elan Winery spans 3,500 acres, and the massive size is used to its full extent. The winery is obviously the main draw, but there’s also a hotel, multiple golf courses, and eight restaurants.

Since its inception in 1981, the winery has grown immensely. It now produces wines of more than 30 different varieties.

Stopping by to take a tour is a lovely experience. You’ll learn all about the wine-making process, and get a chance to sample five different wines produced at the vineyard.
