In Franklinton, Louisiana two animal lovers are hard at work protecting four-legged friends at Barney’s Farm Sanctuary. Owners Allison and Shaun established the farm in 2016 and take in abused, neglected, and unwanted animals. Some are up for adoption and some will have permanent residence on the farm.

The sanctuary is home to a huge herd of goats and sheep.

Farm animals aren’t the only ones finding safety at Barney’s. Cats and dogs who are strays or surrenders are accepted at the farm.
