Virginia is home to countless beautiful waterfalls. Some are easy to access, while others require a bit of hiking. While both have their advantages, sometimes it can be fun to discover the cascades that seem to be hiding in plain sight. One of our favorites is located in the Japanese Garden in Maymont. It’s a man-made waterfall set behind a beautiful bridge, offering a fairytale-like setting to those who visit. Here’s more on the easy-to-access waterfall in Virginia that’s hiding in plain sight.

Many of the elements of the Japanese Garden date back over 100 years, when Maymont was privately-owned by the Dooley family. The stunning waterfall and surrounding stonework is one of them.
