The roadside eatery was originally opened as Bennett’s Rustic Bar-B-Q in 1926. That means they’ve been serving up mouthwatering smoked meats for nearly a century! Rustic BBQ features open-pit oak wood BBQ that’s Santa Maria style. This traditional style of barbecue originated on the Central Coast of California and typically centers around beef tri-tip, seasoned with plenty of black pepper, salt, and garlic.

In addition to tri-tip, Rustic BBQ also boasts St. Louis Ribs, BBQ Chicken, Pulled Pork, and Hot Links. Order a BBQ Plate, which comes with your choice of two meats, coleslaw, pickles, beans, and garlic bread.

Along with hearty portions of BBQ, the eatery also offers burgers, Portuguese specialties, and a variety of small plates sourced from Capay Valley farms, including the restaurant’s own farm, Casa Rosa Farm. Food just tastes better when you know it’s local, don’t you think?
