El Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant/Facebook It was established in 1962 by Joe and Eva Urdiales, who decided to open the eatery after moving to Baton Rouge. Nearly 60 years later, the restaurant is still family-owned and operated, now run by their son, Raul.
