At 3,144 feet, Mount Ascutney is a great destination in Vermont for scenic views and adventure. Although there are a few trail options that’ll take you through the mountain and to the summit, keep in mind that you’ll be hiking on a non-active volcano too. And while you won’t see an active volcano in the Green Mountain State, you’ll probably see a hang glider or two jumping off the mountain and soaring through the sky!
