The Emerald Necklace, as the Cleveland Metroparks is known to locals, is an incredible hiking paradise. This stretch of parks spans Cuyahoga County, dipping into neighboring counties, and encompasses some of the most magical untouched and reclaimed landscapes in this part of Ohio. With over 23,000 acres, the parks are diverse and beautiful… but you can find some of the most incredible beauty in the Cleveland Metroparks’ Bedford Reservation. Take a look:
With more than 2,200 acres to explore, Bedford Reservation is secretly the most magical destination in the Cleveland Metroparks.
Brad Nellis/Google Images Bedford Reservation is one of the loveliest parks in the region. The entire city of Bedford is secretly filled to the brim with waterfalls, and many of them can be found in this beautiful natural space.
Its All Purpose Trail spans 7.6 miles, and it takes you past some of the finest features in the whole park.

Starting near the Great Falls of Tinkers Creek and stretching to Bridal Veil Falls and beyond, this massive trail is worth chunking into a few excursions so you can experience the entirety of its beauty.

This park is actually home to several waterfalls, with some of them hidden in portions of the park only accessed via naturalist-led hikes.

And no matter what you do, you have to swing by the Bridal Veils Falls Scenic Overlook.

Dress for the weather, because these trails can be intense in the winter and muddy in the warmer months. But, boy, are they worth it!
