One of the best ways to experience Vermont and all its glory is by going for a drive on one of the scenic back roads scattered throughout the Green Mountain state. So, if you’re planning to be near the towns of Randolph or Chelsea, make a detour to explore this charming part of Central Vermont by taking a drive on Chelsea Mountain Road.
While the ride through this lesser-known road is under 30 minutes, you’ll experience a little bit of everything, including twists, turns, and steep hills, when you take Chelsea Mountain Road. However, you’ll get to take in stunning scenery on a relatively peaceful and quiet back road.
Read on to learn about some of the things you’ll see when you take this picturesque drive.
Per Google, the entire drive, from East Randolph to Route 110, is just under 15 miles.
If you’re starting your adventure from Randolph, stock up and some snacks at Floyd’s General Store first.
As you drive along, you’ll come across The Barn on the Hill, a wedding venue that looks like a postcard from Vermont.
