For more than 40 years The French Hen in Tulsa has been one of the top fine dining restaurants in Oklahoma, offering an exquisite menu that includes their famous banana walnut bread pudding.  Everything is made from scratch daily, including the bread pudding that’s known around the state as one of the best. I highly recommend you enjoy a full course meal here, but if you’re looking for a great spot to enjoy an upscale dessert and drinks after dinner, this is your place.

Check it out below:

The French Hen is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. They also offer live music on select Thursday nights and brunch on the first Sunday of the month.

This award-winning restaurant moved locations in 2020 to the Tulsa Arts District, and the interior architecture is quite impressive.

We’ll get to the main courses below, but first I have to introduce you to this slice of heaven - banana walnut bread pudding topped with ice cream, strawberries, and blueberries.

Seriously, if your mouth isn’t watering yet then we can’t be friends. A slice of this magic costs $9 and don’t plan on splitting it…I tried that once, and it didn’t turn out well for the other person.

The food here is all made from scratch daily, and the menu rotates based on the season. They offer French and American cuisine, and the menu options are truly incredible.

This pork chop special with duck breast and scallops is an example of a main course that you might find on the menu.

Have you ever seen a more impressive bar than this one? The bread pudding might draw me in, but I think this architecture is equally as impressive.

The new location offers an outdoor patio area too with heaters in the winter. This dining gem is hard to beat, so the next time you’re looking for that special place for a date night, give them a try.
