In Wyoming, we make the most of what we have and, in the winter, we typically have a lot of snow. Skiers certainly love it, but there are other ways to enjoy the great white Wyoming outdoors without strapping on a set of skis. For instance, have you ever been snow tubing in Wyoming?
Tubing is one of our favorite winter activities in the Cowboy State. There are plenty of snow-covered mountainsides to take advantage of, but if you’re looking for a truly epic snow tubing hill, we recommend the tubing park at Grand Targhee Resort. With an average snowfall between 350 and 500 inches each year, the hill at Grand Targhee is tailor-made to give you the winter thrill of a lifetime.
Grand Targhee Resort is at 3300 Ski Hill Road in Alta.

The best part? At Grand Targhee, there’s no exhausting climb up the hill. The Papoose conveyor transports riders to the top of the tubing hill for a heart-pounding run to the bottom.

Tubing tickets provide everything you need: the snow tube and lift access for unlimited rides and hours of thrilling fun.

For people of all ages, tubing is the activity of choice after skiing, when you’re just not ready to head inside. It’s also a terrific way for non-skiers to spend an afternoon.
Grand Targhee Resort The tubing park at Grand Targhee opens at different times depending on the time of year. You’ll want to double-check with the park’s website in order to find out the winter hours for your visit. Here’s what it’s like to zip down the hill on a tube at Grand Targhee:
