Kentucky’s many lakes are favorite destinations in our state for a wide array of year-round recreation. There’s swimming and boating in the summer, fishing all year long, and of course, they are perfectly picturesque any time of year — especially during the quiet and stillness of winter. One of our favorite hidden gem hikes is at Laurel River Lake in London, Kentucky. This stunning lake is very likely the clearest in the state, and the numerous beaches you’ll encounter along the Laurel River Lake Trail will feel like your very own private oases.
