This area doesn’t look like your typical small pools of hot water. Rather, it appears as a large pond. Fortunately, it is large enough that if others are enjoying the same destination, it is easy to spread out.

Horseshoe Springs is created by two natural springs that flow together into the Great Salt Lake. They form a horseshoe shape that you can see from above.

These warm springs are located miles away from any type of services or amenities so you will want to come prepared. Make sure you have plenty of gas and water. Bring food if you plan to stay for a while and be aware that there is no shade if you plan to visit during the hotter months of the year.

While many Utahns call this area a hot spring, it is actually a warm spring with an average temperature of 70 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s the perfect temperature if you plan to soak for a long time.

In addition to soaking in these warm springs in Utah, bring a fishing pole. This is a popular place in the summer months for fishermen to throw in a line.
