We all know the story of how Lizzie Borden (allegedly) took an ax and bludgeoned her father and stepmother to death. The story is one of the most notorious in the country, so much so that a nursery rhyme was even made about it. Considered one of the most haunted places in Massachusetts, the Lizzie Borden House is also considered one of the most haunted places in the world.
Located on 2nd Street in Fall River, what seemed like a nice, normal family home turned into a house of horrors with a double homicide in August of 1892.

The victims were the father and stepmother of Lizzie Borden, Andrew and Abby Borden. Each was found slain by a hatchet, and there were no witnesses as to what exactly transpired.

While Lizzie Borden stood accused of murdering her parents, she was later acquitted of the charges, and the double homicide has yet to be solved. However, people still believe she was the one who committed the grisly murders.

Today, the Lizzie Borden House is considered one of the most haunted places on earth. Visitors are invited to book either a tour of the house, a ghost tour, or even a ghost hunt.
