Utah is truly one of the most beautiful places to explore. From the red rocks in southern Utah to the beautiful mountains in the northern part of the state, the scenery will take your breath away. While there are many different ways to bask in the beauty of the Beehive State, a scenic drive is one of the best to enjoy the magnificent views that this state has to offer. One of the best — and the most beautiful — scenic drives in Utah is the Logan Canyon Scenic Byway.

Logan Canyon Scenic Byway, also known as U.S. Route 89, will take you from the mouth of Logan Canyon in Cache County to the turquoise waters of Bear Lake.

This scenic drive is approximately 41 miles. However, it is filled with many twists and turns so you should plan at least one hour of drive time with no stops.

This road is beautiful any time of year and you will encounter some pretty spectacular views year-round.

If you want a little adventure during your drive, get out of your vehicle and go for a hike. Logan Canyon Scenic Byway in Utah will take you to several trails of varying distances and difficulty levels.

Yvette Barbarena/AllTrails We recommend the Wind Cave Trail, which is six miles up the canyon. This trail is approximately 4 miles, out and back, and is a bit challenging as you gain more than 1,000 feet in elevation. However, you’ll receive some photo-worthy views of the canyon. The caves, which are actually triple arches, are pretty magnificent as well. To learn more about this trail, click here.

Just off of U.S-89 in northern Utah is Tony Grove Lake. This is a smaller lake but is absolutely beautiful all year long. You can hike around the lake and during the summer months, make sure you plan a stay at the Tony Lake Campground.

If you love a good thrill, bring your skis or snowboard (or a mountain bike in the summer!) along for the drive. On the Logan Canyon Scenic Byway in Utah, you will travel past the popular Beaver Mountain Ski Resort.

Beaver Mountain/Facebook Beaver Mountain has been a popular attraction in Logan Canyon since 1939. There are more than 820 acres for you to explore and there are slopes for every skill level.

Near the end of the drive, you’ll have quite the climb but once you reach the summit, you’ll have some of the most awe-inspiring views of Bear Lake. Utah truly is the most beautiful place to be.
