Are you looking for a new town to visit for a day trip in New Jersey? Medford is one of the most underrated small towns in the state, and you’ll find plenty of peace and quiet – plus a whole lot of delicious dining options. It makes for a great spot to spend some time when you’re out exploring the Garden State!
You’ll find Medford in the heart of Burlington County. This sleepy town was once a farm community and still holds on to its rural roots, despite being located near one of the busiest highways in the state.

The town is packed with historic sites, and the Medford Historical Society maintains them.

Speaking of stepping… you can get your steps in at the town’s largest park, Freedom Park. One section is a dedicated “bark park”, where dogs can run around off leash, playing together and splashing in the creek.
