There are some towns all over North Dakota that are downright magic during this time of year; one such town is the adorable, historic little town of Medora, which is – get this – nestled within a stunning national park. It’s a great time to appreciate autumn and learn about the interesting history of the park and Blackhills as a celebration of the former President’s birthday. This year, the bash is on October 27th.
On October 29th and 30th, Medora is hosting a delightful Halloween bonanza, which includes all kinds of fun dining options and things to do.

Of course, if festivities with people around aren’t quite your thing, no worries - there are plenty of quiet hiking trails throughout the town and park, as well as other interesting natural wonders to take in.
