The Magnolia State is full of incredible scenery, and there’s a great way to see it all – the Mississippi Delta Railroad. An experience like no other, the railroad offers scenic rides through the Delta. Train rides are available throughout the year, but if you absolutely cannot wait for the next scheduled departure, you can book a private train ride. Take a look:

Please note, the Mississippi Delta Railroad is no longer in service.

Located in Clarksdale, Mississippi Delta Railroad (MSDR) is a short line railroad with 60 miles of track.

MSDR also offers private train rides. An hour-and-a-half train ride is $550 for 50 guests (which isn’t too bad when you break it down per person).

Book privately, and you can choose from three different boarding locations. The options include two Clarksdale locations, which are Blues Alley Lane and the Hopson Commissary, as well as Bobo Street in Lyon.

Whether you go with the public or private train ride, you’ll be transported in an open-air rail car.

With its open design, the 80-passenger car offers plenty of great views – so be sure to have your camera ready.
