It all started in 1945, when the business opened as a small soda shop inside a corner dime store.

Recently, the diner added some unique menu items to the menu – traditional Korean food.

Owner Sang Soon Almer, also known as Julie, grew up in the Billings area. She learned Korean cooking from her mother. When the pandemic hit Montana, she decided to offer something unique in addition to the classic diner fare. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.

But whether you order an omelette, a burger, or Korean cuisine, one thing is certain – you should save room for dessert here.

The Missouri River Diner is open daily from 6 a.m. - 2 p.m. On every day but Sunday, they also re-open for dinner from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.
