Today, we’re going to explore the landscape near Mosquito Creek Wildlife Area…one breathtaking place where untouched forest, rare migratory birds, and overall serenity abounds. There’s something for everyone at this beautiful park near Cleveland, and it’s just about an hour away from home.
Welcome to Mosquito Creek Wildlife Area, a 9,021-acre gem just north of Warren.

This verdant and unblemished landscape is nestled against Mosquito Lake and the Mosquito Lake State Park, which was created in the 1940s to provide flood control and to supply water to industry downstream.

The area is filled to the brim with wildlife, with birds being one of the easier-to-spot draws.

Mosquito Creek Lake is a magnificent fishing spot, if you don’t mind taking your fishing gear on a little road trip.

Hiking is a true treat at Mosquito Creek, as the landscape has a great deal of variety.
