The Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is one of the most popular attractions in Nebraska, and with good reason. It’s one of the most highly-rated zoos in the country. It’s home to the world’s largest indoor swamp and indoor desert, and hundreds of species of plants and animals. Over 25 million attendees have visited Henry Doorly in the last 40 years. This is a trip that many of us have taken in childhood, and it’s definitely worth exploring again as an adult.
It’s somewhat rare for a zoo and aquarium to be in the same facility. This is a common field trip for Nebraskans in school, and something kids tend to enjoy more than a stuffy museum!
