This was originally the home of the wealthy Denton family. The McDonald’s you see before you today was built way back in 1795.

As time went on, time began to reclaim the beautiful mansion. The historic home became run down. In 1985, McDonald’s purchased the property with the intent to demolish the house.

Locals petitioned to keep the historic home standing. McDonald’s finally agreed to completely restore the exterior of the home and fully renovate the interior. It was officially opened as a McDonald’s in 1991.

It certainly looks different from other McDonald’s that you are used to visiting. You’ll notice there’s no bright red and yellow theme running through this restaurant.
