Of course, the facilities at this new park are also worth noting. At the park entrance, you’ll find a kiosk with a large map, plus a brand-new, clean restroom, which is a much-appreciated luxury not all parks have.

When you’re ready for a hike, you’ll be pleased to find that the trails within Newell Creek are incredibly accessible, and wind through some seriously stunning old-growth forest. While exploring this preserve, keep an eye out for beavers, red fox and black-tailed deer, along with pileated woodpeckers and cottontail rabbits!
