Do you feel the need to get in touch with your Garden State roots? If you want to relive some of the most iconic moments in any New Jerseyan’s life, head down the shore. While we all have our favorite beach towns, it’s hard to beat the magic of the Ocean City boardwalk.
There’s nothing that says “Jersey” quite like a day on the Ocean City boardwalk!

Every trip down the shore starts with some salt water taffy. Shrivers is one of the more famous makers, but Steele’s Fudge and Fralinger’s also make some of the best sweet, sticky stuff.

Speaking of sweet… no trip to the boardwalk is complete without a cone from Kohrs. No matter how much you eat, there’s always room for New Jersey’s favorite soft-serve custard.

Of course, there’s more than just sweets here. The world famous Manco and Manco Pizza is a must-have.

Plenty of small shops are there to satisfy all of your cravings. Boardwalk fries from Jilly’s? Check. Johnson’s Popcorn? Check. Old fashioned wax lips? Well… you’ll find them, if you really want to!

Along with food and candy shops, the Ocean City boardwalk boasts lots of entertainment. You can try mini golf, arcades, carnival rides, and more.

If you’re looking to do some shopping, there are dozens of stores up and down the boardwalk. Be sure to visit the Surf Mall… the Blacklight Room hasn’t changed in decades.

The fun doesn’t have to stop when the sun goes down. Many of the shops and rides are open long into the night.

Plan a fantastic day trip down to Ocean City, and you’ll certainly feel right at home here in New Jersey’s most iconic beach town.

While many of the shops are open year-round, the OC boardwalk is best enjoyed from May through September. Before Memorial Day and after Labor Day, you’ll beat the crowds, but you may miss out on a summer-only business or two.
