The farm has a very long history. The first farmer on the land was John Coggeshall, of Essex, England – he first arrived in Boston before settling on a 400-acre plot that includes the current farm.

The farm also has animals. It has a herd of cows that produce milk for the enterprise’s farmstead cheese.

And then, there are the goats. Like the cows, they are working animals, but they take on a few additional tasks.

For example, they are yoga practitioners and help lead goat yoga sessions outdoors on warm days.

The goats don’t get the winter off, though. The farm offers “goat hikes” that give participants a chance to visit with the goats before strolling this beautiful, historic farm. The goats love the experience as much as the farm’s guests!
