  1. Solstice Steps

Erik Drost/Flickr Lakewood’s Solstice Steps are one of the newer features in Greater Cleveland, but they’re downright treasured. Located in scenic Lakewood Park (which is renowned for its views of the Cleveland skyline), these steps are the perfect place to watch the sunset on the Summer Solstice. Of course, they’re stunning all year round, too. Autumn in this park is downright breathtaking! Solstice Steps, 14532 Lake Ave, Lakewood, OH 44107, USA

  1. East 4th Street

Erik Drost/Flickr You’ll have to park, because East 4th Street is a car-free zone. This pedestrian-friendly stretch of stores and restaurants has a rich history, having started as an entertainment district when it was known as Sheriff Street. Today, some of Cleveland’s most celebrated dining can be enjoyed here. Pickwick & Frolic and the House of Blues both promise to entertain, and libations are always flowing at almost any storefront on the street. East 4th Street, E 4th St, Cleveland, OH, USA

  1. Cultural Gardens

Christopher F/TripAdvisor Whether the weather is warm and welcoming or you’re bundled up to fight the cold, the Cleveland Cultural Gardens in Rockefeller Park are downright delightful. A mixture of new and historic elements, architecture, art, and landscaping takes visitors on an international journey… all without ever leaving Cleveland. In the warmer months, art shows, operas, dances, and more take place in these charming gardens. Cleveland Cultural Gardens, 10823 Magnolia Dr, Cleveland, OH 44106, USA

  1. Lakefront Reservation

Jen Goellnitz/Flickr No matter the season, Lakefront Reservation is a delight to hike. Nestled up against Lake Erie, this scenic park is filled to the brim with beauty… including beaches, fishing spots, trails, and stretches of forest that act as a haven for migrating birds. If you swing by during the warmer months, grab some food from E55 on the Lake! Lakefront Reservation E 72nd Fishing Area, E 72nd St, Cleveland, OH 44103, USA

  1. Wade Oval

Erik Drost/Flickr Wade Oval has old-world beauty, from its sapphire lagoon to its grand institutions. Lake View Cemetery, 12316 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH 44106, USA

  1. Garfield Park Reservation

Cleveland Metroparks/Facebook As one of the oldest parks in Cleveland, Garfield Park Reservation is a must-see destination. Complete with a man-made waterfall and Works Progress Administration-era stonework, this park is a stunning spot. Plus, it’s totally urban… you’d never suspect that such a natural paradise exists in such a bustling part of town. Listen for birdsong during your visit, and keep your eyes peeled for some of the city’s native wildlife hiding in plain sight.
