The coaster starts with a tall hill to get the momentum going. Your cart is securely attached to the rail, and you’re buckled into a seatbelt, so it’s perfectly safe.

Don’t worry - this coaster is suitable even for people who aren’t necessarily thrill seekers. Every cart is equipped with a hand brake, so you can go as slow or fast as you’d like.

If you’re a daredevil, you’ll reach speeds of up to 30 mph!

If you’d like to take it slow and easy, no problem - just slow your cart down. The 3,400-foot track is elevated, so you’ll get some incredible views during your ride.

Just like an amusement park coaster, the Rushmore Mountain Coaster has plenty of twists and turns. This coaster takes you right through the trees!

It’s pretty much the case that no matter which part of the state you’re in, you’re bound to find some kind of awe-inspiring adventure awaiting. Some of our favorite, more specific adventures include paddling the Missouri River, where you’ll be treated to incredible natural beauty all around you for as many miles as you can handle. You can go SCUBA diving in a few of South Dakota’s amazing lakes: Lake Oahe, Sheridan Lake, and Pactola Reservoir. Bet you didn’t know you can do THAT here! Truly, the possibilities are endless and you’re going to fall in love with South Dakota all over.   Where is Rush Mountain Adventure Park in South Dakota?  Rush Mountain Adventure Park is located in Keystone, South Dakota. Keystone is located in southwestern South Dakota, and it’s a truly beautiful place! Rush Mountain Adventure Park is a thrill all its own, featuring a zipline adventure, a roller coaster (and other rides), a challenge course, and so much more. You’ll also find some natural beauty all around you, and you should consider a visit to Black Elk Peak and Horse Thief Lake.
