If you love stargazing, there’s no better place in North Carolina to observe the night sky than at the Bare Dark Sky Observatory at the Mayland Earth to Sky Park in Burnsville. The observatory at the park allows for 22 guests on the nights it opens for observation and it’s a wonderful resource for astronomers of all levels.
