Well, luckily we’re a creative bunch, and all throughout the cold dark months, winter festivals light up our towns. One of the newest is soon to become a family tradition for those in and around the Big Horns. Make plans to attend the Sheridan WYO Winter Rodeo! This year, it’s held from February 12-20, and it’s sure to be a weekend of events that keep everyone on their toes.
The Sheridan WYO Winter Rodeo is a fairly new event in the Big Horns, but it’s the talk of the town all season long.

The Rodeo, dubbed “Wyoming’s wildest winter event”, is a blast for spectators and participants alike.

This is a rodeo unlike any other, though, as it’s not held in an arena, and it focuses on one event only - skijoring.

Teams of horses, riders, and skiers compete in different courses and divisions, both as individuals and in larger teams.
