The building was constructed in 1928 and originally served as a schoolhouse. Named The White School after Colonel Samuel White, the school was very progressive and was made up of approximately 100 students.

By 1968, the school had closed, and it wasn’t until 1996 that a couple who dreamed of owning a bed & breakfast and restaurant decided to renovate the building.
