There are quite a few treehouses in Arkansas that are available for overnight rentals. However, none compare to the Treehouse Bungalow – and that’s because it’s located in the middle of Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge! That’s right; you can actually sleep at the refuge, among the wildlife that calls it home.

Located in Eureka Springs, Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge is a non-profit that provides lifetime refuge for abandoned, abused, and neglected “big cats.”

The 459-acre refuge offers daily tours, which leave every hour on the hour, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

During the tours, you can watch the refuge’s resident cats running and playing, just like they would in the wild.

But your time at the refuge doesn’t have to come to an end after the tour.

Instead, you can turn your day of fun into an overnight adventure by booking a stay in the refuge’s Treehouse Bungalow.

Available seasonally from March – November, the treehouse stands about 15 feet off the ground, offering a unique escape for those who enjoy cozy comfort and sleeping near the treetops.

It can accommodate four guests and welcomes adults and kids over the age of five.

And though situated among the treetops, the abode isn’t lacking in amenities. Boasting all the comforts of home, it’s got Wi-Fi, a flat screen TV, mini fridge, microwave, AC, and wraparound deck with a table and chairs.

The treehouse is pretty popular and books up fast. Luckily, though, the refuge has several other overnight rentals, including safari tents and lodges.

Just like the treehouse, all of the rentals come with lots of amenities, including a complimentary tour of the refuge.

Of course, the best thing about the refuge’s rentals is that you’ll hear the resident lions and tigers interacting with one another. What a wake-up call!
