You’ll find the Great Falls Tavern Visitor Center at 11710 MacArthur Blvd in Potomac, Maryland.

Then, you’ll board the canal boat, which usually runs on Saturday and Sunday at 11am and 2pm. Be aware that the boat currently has a limit of 15 riders at a time due to COVID precautions. Riders must also wear a face covering, regardless of vaccination status.

Your adventure will last approximately 45 minutes. During this time, you’ll rise 8-feet in a lock, and learn what life was like for people living along and working on the canal back in the late 1800s.
