Wear comfortable walking shoes, because you’ll be climbing a series of stone stairs. In the summertime, the trees that line the path provide much-needed shade.

You’ll deal with a variety of terrain, in fact, that ranges from overgrowth to roots and rocks jutting up from the ground. Missouri State Parks recommends alloting at least an hour and 15 minutes for the hike.
