Breaux Bridge is a small city in St. Martin Parish, just outside of Lafayette.

In 1799, he built a footbridge over Bayou Teche to help with commerce in the area. Not long after, his son Agricole built the first vehicular bridge over the bayou in 1817, allowing for both sides of the bayou to develop simultaneously, a unique claim to fame for folks back then.
A town known for crawfish, it’s certainly one of the best towns in Louisiana to get your fill on mudbugs.
