If you’re looking for a beautiful, lush, green trail along a creek and through the forest in Oregon that is perfect for hikers of all levels, then look no further than the Sweet Creek Trail.

This trail is all of the above and it’s one that you’ll remember for the rest of your life. Not only does this trail feature wooden bridges, mossy rocks and trees, and lots of photo opportunities, but you’ll be rewarded at the end by the impressive Sweet Creek Falls.

Although the trailhead for the Sweet Creek Trail is a ten-mile detour off Highway 126, it’s worth the trip. You’ll love this trail.

There is so much beauty in the over 600-acre Siuslaw National Forest. It stretches from the shores of the Pacific Ocean into the mountains of the Oregon Coast Range. Right in the middle of this forest, near Mapleton, you’ll find the Sweet Creek Trail.

The Sweet Creek Trail is short enough that it is easy for hikers of all ages and levels, but it’s long enough that a journey along it can fill a lazy afternoon. At the end you’ll find Sweet Creek Falls, and what a reward it is!
