Chasing waterfalls is oh-so-easy and so much fun. Reaching Pennsylvania’s dozens and dozens of waterfalls can be easy, requiring just a simple walk from the car. Or the trek can be challenging, requiring plenty of time and stamina. Little Falls Trail, which leads to a beautiful but little-known waterfall in Pennsylvania, falls somewhere in between a short stroll and a challenging trek. It’s worth checking out if you’ve got an hour or two free.
Little Falls Trail winds 2.7 miles through Promised Land State Park, taking you past an abundance of natural beauty. A few surprises wait along the way, too.

While the trail has earned an “easy” rating from AllTrails, you will face some rocky terrain. Keep an eye out when you’re walking for jutted tree roots, too.
