There’s one restaurant in the northern part of the state that’s home to some of the best seafood in Louisiana, and they’ve been at it for nearly 70 years.

Welcome to The Mohawk Tavern, a longtime favorite seafood restaurant in Monroe, Louisiana.

Established in 1952 by Tom and Alline Fontana, The Mohawk Tavern is Monroe’s oldest restaurant, and it’s still owned and operated by the same family.

Walking into The Mohawk Tavern is like walking into the past.
