Winter’s rolling right along, and we’ve still got a ton of time to get outdoors to soak up the season – skiing, hiking, and sled riding. While our winter calendar might not be as packed as our summer one, we can still add quite a few events to our itineraries. Butler Carved In Ice 2022, an annual winter festival near Pittsburgh, promises fun for the whole family, making it a must-add to your to-do list.

Bundle up for two days of fun at Butler Carved In Ice 2022, slated for February 11-12 in downtown Butler. The festivities will take place in and near Diamond Park on Main Street.

The fun starts on Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday’s festivities are set for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Butler kicks off its sixth annual Carved In Ice, a fundraising event, with an evening of Lights on the Ice. Join in on the fun as artists create intricate ice sculptures. Grab a bite to eat from one of the vendors, and check out the entertainment.

Saturday’s all about family. Family Fun Day features a full menu of activities – from live ice sculpting to a hot dog eating contest. Sign up for the hot dog eating contest, which will also feature local personalities.

Kiddos can slide down the ice slide and join a kids’ scavenger hunt. Tractor rides will be available, weather-permitting, and the whole family can get a close-up look at local fire trucks and pet donkeys and miniature horses.

The weekend will feature live entertainment, including music, and delicious food and drinks from area food trucks.

Proceeds from the annual winter festival near Pittsburgh will benefit the Butler AM Rotary Charities Annual Giving Fund and Butler County First Responders Memorial and Pavilion at Alameda Park.
