‘Tis the season to… go hiking in Connecticut? That’s right, no matter what time of year it is, there are plenty of trails in the Nutmeg State just waiting to be enjoyed! We’ve got so many great hikes in Connecticut that it can be hard to sort through them all. Some are accessible year-round, some are on the easier side, some are more suited for experienced hikers. One trail that’s a great day hike option is the red and blue loop trails in Ragged Mountain Memorial Preserve. This spot near Berlin can be accessed year-round and has some absolutely incredible views!

If you visit in the winter, you’ll definitely want to wear spikes on your boots. Many people choose to snowshoe the trail if the snow is deep enough.
