One of the first things people notice about Lake Placid is how beautiful it is. The city is centered around the gorgeous Mirror Lake.

Lake Placid is probably best known for being the only North American city to have hosted two Winter Olympics. Fittingly, it’s also home to one of the few Olympic museums in the United States.
