Central Park is a magical place. It’s one of the most visited spots in the entire world. With nearly 850 acres to explore, you’ll never run out of things to see and do. There are many attractions within the park, such as Strawberry Fields and the Central Park Carousel. Another Central Park must-see is The Mall. Surrounded on both sides by magnificent American elm trees, this is a peaceful spot that looks like something out of a fairytale.
The Mall runs right through the center of Central Park, from 66th Street to 72nd Street. It’s about a quarter-mile long and is, surprisingly, the only intentional straight line within Central Park.
Bill B/Flickr Central Park was designed to primarily focus on the natural aspects of the area. There are not very many architectural elements within the park, since the main draw is meant to be the flora and fauna that reside there.
It leads to Bethesda Terrace, an iconic plaza within the park. This area is a popular gathering spot that features stupendous architectural designs and a lovely fountain.
