Started in 1988 by a few folks interested in preserving the area’s history, the museum makes for a quirky stop when traveling the Trinity Highway. The museum is dedicated to history pertaining to both Humboldt County and Trinity County. However, it’s the musem’s extensive Bigfoot exhibit that receives the most attention.

The Bigfoot Collection is just as wacky as you’d imagine, filled with artifacts and items regarding the legendary creature. Items like footprint casts, photos, maps of sighting locations, and other papers provide a physical history of local Bigfoot lore.
