I can’t get enough of the Delaware fall foliage recently! We’re near peak fall foliage, so leaf peepers like myself are out in full force. I just love seeing the Green in Dover light up with the shades and hues of Fall, but this weekend, I think I’ll venture out to one of these parks to take a full fall foliage hike (try saying that three times fast!). Each of these locations offers a variety of hiking trails or pathways that will lead you through some of the most stunning fall foliage in Delaware.
- White Clay Creek State Park
Facebook / White Clay Creek State Park Just outside of Newark lies the stunning White Clay Creek state park, where the leaves seem to glow as they change from green to gold, red, and orange hues of fall. - Alapocas Run State Park
Facebook / AR-WSP Follow any of the trails though Alapocas Run and you’ll encounter some of the most incredible Delaware fall foliage. What’s even better is that this park is in the middle of Wilmington, so if you live in the city, you don’t even have to travel that far.1914 W Park Dr, Wilmington, DE 19803
- Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge, Smyrna
Flickr / Pontla While most of Bombay Hook is marshland, the trees that surround the area produce fall foliage that reflects off of the marsh grasses. - Lums Pond State Park, Bear

- Killens Pond State Park, Felton

- Bellevue State Park, Wilmington

The trails around the park are mostly paved, so they are accessible and easy for children and the elderly. - The Hagley Museum, Wilmington

- Mt. Cuba Center, Hockessin
