Whether you call it a sub or a hoagie depends on where you grew up in Delaware. If you’re from northern New Castle county, you probably call it a hoagie. If you’re from anywhere else, it’s a sub. It’s pretty straightforward, but it still causes some tension between people who feel strongly about their sandwich naming tradition. I’m not going to reveal my sandwich-name preferences, but I will tell you where you can find the best sub shops in Delaware, order an Italian whatever, and enjoy an amazing sandwich.

Their chicken cutlets are always seasoned perfectly, and everything they make here is fresh and delicious.
