On December 10, 2021, a brand new state-of-the-art playground will open at the LeFleur’s Bluff Education and Tourism Complex in Jackson.

A great day trip destination for the entire family, the complex is the shared campus between the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science and the Mississippi Children’s Museum.

The 30,000-square-foot LeFleur’s Bluff Playground features 80 play activities, which are separated into different play areas based on age.

Some of the playground’s features are pretty unique.

mdwfp.com For instance, the Wedra is the first play structure of its kind in the world! There’s also the Hedra Tower, which is only the 4th fourth play structure of its kind in the nation.

A berm is also among the playground’s unique features. “What’s a berm,” you ask? It’s a raised hill in the middle of the play space that enhances parents’ visibility of their children.

Aside from the unique play structures, there’s tons of all-inclusive equipment.

The park’s perks don’t end with the play equipment, though.
