Manzanita is a lovely coastal locale tucked away in the North Oregon Coast. It’s one of the most scenic places in the state; and, in fact, according to the Oregon Coast Visitors Association, Manzanita has some of the most photographed scenery in Oregon!

But while this Oregon Coast town is big on scenic beauty, it’s actually quite small, with fewer than 1,000 residents.

So it’s only appropriate that this tiny town would be home to an itty bitty little bookstore. And that’s exactly what you’ll find at 148 Laneda Avenue in downtown Manzanita, Oregon.

This is Cloud & Leaf Bookstore, an independent little bookstore located in the heart of downtown Manzanita.

The bookstore is run by local novelist Deborah Reed, who took ownership of Cloud & Leaf in 2019. Local book lover Jody Swanson opened the shop in 2004; prior to this, there wasn’t a bookstore in town!

It’s quite obvious a bibliophile is at the helm of this lovely little shop, which features wall-to-wall shelves of novels, nonfiction, children’s books, and more.
