But it’s not just one of the state’s most impressive flea markets. Held every month since its inception in1893, it’s actually “the longest continually running flea market in the U.S.”

Almost immediately, the market turned into a travel-worthy destination. Early 20th century photos of the market show crowds of people, mules, and horse-drawn wagons.
