According to Fodor’s, Nevada is home to one of the best river walks in the U.S. There were 15 amazing riverfront walks that made the list, and Reno’s Riverwalk District was among them!

Reno’s Riverwalk District is a pleasant surprise for those visiting the Biggest Little City in the World for the first time. Stretching along a scenic portion of the Truckee River in downtown Reno, the paved river walk acts as a sort of centerpiece to the city’s arts, culture, history, and dining scene.

Providing access to over 75 businesses and four parks, strolling along the Truckee River Walk is a splendid way to spend the afternoon. It seems like there’s always something to be explored along the riverfront!

The Truckee River makes for a scenic backdrop to downtown neighborhood no matter the time of year, but it’s also a source of outdoor fun! During the summertime, you’ll likely see people paddling down its waters on a kayak or floating in a raft or inner tube.

Additionally, the city hosts all sorts of fun events along the riverfront. The Reno Wine Walk is consistently a favorite. Held on the second Saturday of the month, participants can spend the afternoon eating, drinking, and visiting the different Wine Walk destinations.
